このような状況下で、TBSが新規事業を推進し、絶えず変化する消費者のニーズに応えながら将来に向けた取り組みを進めていくために、ある程度の資本を保有しておかなければならないことは認識しております。直近では、国内最大級のドラマアーカイブ数を誇るとされる動画配信サービスParavi（パラビ）を共同設立するなど、TBSは新たな機会を積極的に捉えており、今後も放送業界をいっそう向上するための新たな事業に取り組んでいくことと考えます。放送関連領域と関連のない一企業の株式保有を減らすことがこうした戦略の障害となるはずはなく、TBSの会社としての地位を高めることこそあれ低下させることにはなりません。
